Summary:


The General Manager will oversee the effective delivery of janitorial services to all GDI contracts within the Saskatchewan area as well as the development and execution of key processes for their particular branch. The position is key to the continued growth and the operational, financial and customer satisfaction success of the region.


Essential Duties:



  • Accountable for the financial results of your area of responsibility.
  • Possess a detailed knowledge of the operations at each site (contract, scope of work, building type, client nuances, etc..)
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers at all clients.
  • Maintain frequent communication and contact across all client sites via phone calls, emails, and site visits.
  • Actively track financial performance to budget and address any issues to achieve corporate financial objectives without neglecting quality standards, safety, or customer satisfaction.
  • Review red flag accounts with Operations staff and prepare corrective action strategies.
  • Work in conjunction with the Sales & Marketing team in securing new business.
  • Develop and participate in client retention programs with Operations staff.
  • Prepare contract renewal pricing and negotiate renewals.
  • Attend industry functions (i.e. BOMA) and network with peers to stay current with the Real Estate community and competitors.


Qualifications:


  • Demonstrated skills in project management and budget management. (i.e. Ability to understand and manage a P&L).
  • Operational Leadership experience in the Janitorial and/or Facility Services industry highly preferred.
  • Experienced in expense management & financial controls.
  • Strong business acumen with a broad understanding of the fundamentals of business issues.
  • Exemplary communication and negotiating skills.
  • Strong leadership and people management experience.
  • Analytical skills in problem solving and implementing action plans.
